Mid Century table lamp by Cosack. This and similar designs are often attributed to Louis Kalff. However, there are no sources for this. Moreover, Kalff never worked for Cosack. A sober design with elegant forms. The striking elements of this lamp are the large diabolo shade and the finely executed "crow's foot". The base and shade are connected by a curved brass arm. The shade is adjustable via a joint. The colouring is special. The "white" shade forms a harmonious contrast to the black of the base. In addition, there is the contrast of the surface of the smooth brass arm to the textured lacquer of the base and shade. The lamp is in a very good condition with traces of use on the shade (see photos). The electrical system has been renewed.
