This Mid Century Danish table lamp was designed by Jette Helleroe and produced in Denmark during the 1960s. The lamp features a beautifully crafted ceramic base with a textured surface and a striking glaze in natural earthy tones combined with deep blue accents. The sculptural form and hand-decorated surface reflect the organic and artistic approach typical of Scandinavian ceramic design of the period. The lamp is signed and stamped on the underside and remains in very good vintage condition. The ceramic body has a strong decorative presence and works equally well as a functional lighting object or as a sculptural decorative piece. The lamp is currently fitted with a pleated shade which complements the mid-century character of the piece. A fine example of Danish ceramic lighting design from the 1960s.
