Minimalist table lamp by philips, designed by louis kalff in the 1960s. a minimalist design. The shade has a flat, disc-like shape. The rim is downward-curving and particularly wide. A round opening in the center conceals the e27 socket. The gray color of the shade is echoed in the simple, round base. Shade and base are connected by an angled chrome stem. The lamp is ideally suited for mirrored bulbs (not included). These fit perfectly into the top opening of the lamp, allowing the mirror to be reflected on the top of the shade. The light is thus directed primarily downwards, preventing glare. The entire design is based on this principle of indirect lighting. the lamp is in very good condition with signs of use and patina. This piece has an attribution mark, i am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution, european plug (up to 250v).the wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
