An unusual table lamp from the 1950s, Louis Kalff for Philips. Simple, almost minimalist design with a strong character and a fantastic look, truly a ‘personality’. The base is made of Wenge wood, the lampshade is fibre. Given its age in good condition, at most some minor ‘fraying’ at the lower edge of the lampshade. The lamp still has the authentic wiring and plug, works fine and safe. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution, European Plug (up to 250V).The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
