Modernist Art Deco table or desk curvaceous lamp in the shape of a mushroom with decorative brass beads is extraordinary rare example of Dutch design in the 1920's. It is of the machine age. in the style of early Daalderop lamps with their fluent shapes. The strong mushroom shaped lamp was produced in two parts the bell shaped body with its bowl formed hood housing the light source. The design of his lamp clearly is influenced by out the Bauhaus movement of the 1920's and 1930's. Some of the characters of the movement were symmetrical geometric, streamlined and simple in execution of the material.
