The George Nelson Cigar Tripod Lamp plays with geometry and juxtaposition, with its plump, elongated plastic shade covered in pencil-thin vertical lines. Warm, diffused light seeps through this translucent covering, created via a technique Nelson pioneered in 1952 for his Bubble Lamp.
