This contemporary Margit Wittig table lamp sits on a rectangular slate base and features multiple white resin handcrafted spheres and semi-circles with organic surface textures. A single central semicircle is enveloped in 24-karat gold leaf, done by hand.These shapes are separated by two abstract sculptural portraits, sculpted by Margit Wittig and cast in her London studio. Margit Wittig is inspired by modern artists and sculptors such as Giacometti and Ivon Hitchens. Her work is constantly evolving using different textures as the driving force, intertwined with her work with color. Her functional art spreads the gamit from modern simplicity to rich and complex designs and color.
