An elegant Mod. Omega table or ceiling lamp, designed by the master of Italian design Vico Magistretti and produced by Artemide in the 1960s. The lamp consists of an opal blown glass shade, mounted on a nickel-plated brass frame, featuring a distinctive double curvature that offers a glimpse of the inner light sphere, also made of white opal glass. This contrast between pure geometric forms (sphere and dome) and the transparency/opacity of the glass is the model’s defining feature: the light is diffused in a soft, enveloping manner, creating a refined atmosphere and enhancing any room in which it is placed. The example on offer is in excellent condition; the glass is flawless and the metal parts show only a few slight signs of age.
