This Pelota Table lamp was designed by Cesare Casati and Emanuele Ponzio in 1971, This design is inspired by an attribute that is used for the Spanish sport Pelota Basca, a ball game that is 400 years old. The name of the original attribute is Xistera, it looks the same as the lamp. It’s made of orange plastic, Overall condition is very good, with minorwear. On the bottom is an attribution mark. Casati & Ponzio founded Studio DA in 1965. They developed projects in various sectors like architecture, urban planning, interior design, exhibition design, and industrial design. Literature: Domus N.498, March 1971, page 27 , This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
