Small asea table, desk or nightstand lamp attributed to svend aage holm-sørensen and made by asea in sweden during the 1950s in a style reminiscent of french modernist and italian stilnovo lighting. It features an organically shaped almost gourd-like pastel-red (original) diablo aluminum shade with characteristic holm-sørensen triangular dot perforations. It has a brass rod that is adjustable at the shade and an on/of switch to its base. Measurements: h: 33 cm, shade length/diameter: 18/9 cm. Base diameter: 13.5 cm. for the us. It will come installed with a 110 watt adaptor plug ready for use. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
