Multi-shade diffusion for comfortable light, made in Denmark. Designed in 1974 as a tribute to renowned Danish designer Poul Henningsen after his death, the PH 80 Table Lamp—crafted in Denmark—follows his principles of creating glare-free lighting. This is achieved by the PH 80’s multi-shade design which emits a diffused, reflected, symmetrical light which is directed downward. Comfortable room lighting is provided by the opal acrylic shades, while the lamp’s chic silhouette brings a modern style to your home decor. On the original fixture, the red hue of the top reflector adds an intense, warm glow to the light. The white version has a white top reflector that reflects the light for a clean, elegant look. Both Poul Henningsen and the lamp’s manufacturer, Louis Poulsen, are represented in MoMA’s collection. Features of the PH 80 Table Lamp include: Made in Denmark. 3-shade system based on Poul Henningsen’s logarithmic spiral for glare-free, downward-directed light.
