A beautiful large “Pipistrello” table lamp designed by Gae Aulenti, manufactured by Martinelli Luce in Italy in the 1970s. This iconic lamp features a white metal base with an adjustable telescopic arm and a white acrylic glass shade in beautiful shape. “Pipistrello” means “bat”, after the highly recognizable shape of the shape: the four bat wing shaped elements combine into a unique and beautiful design! The material of the shade allows a lovely warm light to shine through. The arm is adjustable in height from 70 to 88 cm! All together this piece is an iconic mid-century find and a highly valuable addition to any decor! The piece remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
