"Marble Lamp" is a strange title, I know! Portoro marble as well known as Portovenere marble, is a fine variety of italian marble carved near the beautiful Golfo dei Poeti, a gulf situated in the Ligurian province of La Spezia. It is one of the most beautiful among polychrome marbles, a very precious Italian stone of an intense and brilliant black color with golden veins ranging from intense yellow to honey color. The peculiarity of its appearance makes it a unique marble, irreplaceable as an ornamental material.
