Chairish

$3,584

Rare, postmodern table lamp from the French manufacturer Aluminor after a design by Sacha Ketoff from the 80s. This draft was created in a competition as part of the exhibition "Lumières: Je Pense à vous" in the Center Pompidou in 1985. The design and the name W.O. refers to the pioneers of aviation, the brothers Wilbur and Orville Wright. The lamp convinces with its technical design language and the special materiality. The most distinctive detail is the filigree reflector disc. It consists of a light, thin honeycomb plate and shows the simple shape of a square. The disc is mounted in a firm distance in a firm distance in parallel to the light head. This filigree plastic disk serves as a reflector, diffuser and through its shape as an object. The light head is located at the end of a double shaft. The lamp can be tilted in both directions via a simple spring mechanism between the two poles. The double linkage always ensures a parallel alignment of the head. The heavy plate foot is increased in the middle area to cover the transformer.
