Glass table lamp, probably designed in the 1970s by Štěpán Tabery for the company Osvětlovací sklo Valašské Meziříčí. The lamp was designed in the context of the Space Age style of the time, which brought rounded futuristic lines to the aesthetics of applied design. The lamp is made of a combination of light red and milky opal triplex glass. When lit, it creates a pleasant, subdued red light. The bottom of the lamp is covered by a rich yellow plastic base. The lamp is in great original condition. It is fully functional and lights up with one E27 bulb. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
