Rituals XL sits in the room like a moon pulled down for closer study—an oversized orb of mouth-blown glass, lightly striated so light drifts through it in bands of soft shadow. Ludovica + Roberto Palomba borrowed the calm presence of a Japanese washi lantern, then translated it into milky Venetian glass using a custom grinding process that leaves each horizontal groove just imperfect enough to feel hand-drawn. The globe rests on a discreet metal puck, almost hovering, and an internal LED (on/off or touch-dimmer, your choice) spreads an even, warm glow that flattens screen glare and warms wood grain. At a little over a foot and a half wide, it’s large enough to anchor a console or low shelf yet gentle enough to double as sculpture when switched off—a quiet ritual of light, shadow, and scale.
