The body of the lamp is composed of metal branches like arms and leaf or flower shapes, brazed with melted brass. It stands on a white rock marble base. The tapered cream lamp shade when lit shines a warm light over the sculpted base. Brutalism expresses its design through raw materials and its style of execution. Its Brutalist life evolved around the 1950's to the 1970's at its height, rejecting ornamentation of the past. and created an aesthetic for the modern age.
