Very nice sculptural shaped table lamp designed and made by michel jaubert, france 1970. Amazing hand-shaped table lamp! it's like a sculpture made of solid bronze on a sleek black painted wooden base. The lamp comes with its original black shade with a gold interior. When you turn it on, the light bounces off the bronze base, creating an awesome effect. This lamp is in fantastic condition, the artist's signature, 'jaubert,' right is on the side of the base. The black shade with the gold inside not only looks great but also gives off a warm and cozy light. It's like having a piece of art that lights up your room. This lamp is checked in our own atelier, cleaned and is suitable for use in the usa. For us usage we could change the plug, or you can get a converter if needed for a floor or table lamp with transformer in it. Beginning in 1968 michel jaubert has been creating furniture in polished bronze and aluminum and has designed and made a collection of sculptures and everyday objects such as lamps, floor lamps, sconces, ashtrays, cups and tableware as well a as furniture items such as tables and stands. All these items have been offered by cardin and dereux, scandia, estc. All items are signed "m .jaubert" he has also made jewelry which is normally not signed. All items are created in the lost wax method. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
