Iconic Swedish modern design classics. Crystal table lamps by Carl Fagerlund for Orrefors produced in the 1960s in the small town of Orrefors in southern Sweden. Thick bubble textured double corrugated crystal with chrome-plated hardware. Marked on chrome top and signed on base. Model Mars II RD 1477. Absolutely beautiful condition. Rewiring upon request. Three items available. Price per item.Swedish glass and lighting designer Carl Fagerlund was born in Kalmar, Sweden in 1915. He trained in Stockholm and became a drawing teacher in 1943. From 1946 to 1980 he worked as lighting architect and designer at the acclaimed Swedish glassworks Orrefors Glasbruk, named after the small town in southern Sweden where it was situated and renowned for its high quality crystal and art glass. Fagerlund died in 2011 in the town of Orrefors, the very place where his design legacy was established.
