"Travertine Lamp" is a strange title, I know! But I dreamed for a long time a lamp of this kind, I dreamed a piece of stone, suspended like a sculpture, that could secretly illuminate my studio,and my thoughts. Hiding such a powerful light inside wasn't easy: the challenges were represented by the small thickness of the object and the light emission that, according to my vision, had to be released both upwards and downwards. The effort has been worthwhile and the result is poetic: stone has never seemed so light!
