HAY’s Turn On table lamp is Joel Hoff’s award-winning project, earning him first place in the HAY Talent Award competition in 2014. Originally known as the Switch Light, the lamp features a pleasingly pared-back and functional design: a round opal glass shade is paired with an aluminum base that also serves as the integrated switch. Twist it clockwise to turn the light on and gradually brighten it; turn it the other way to dim the light until it switches off. The minimalist yet cleverly inventive Turn On lamp is an excellent choice for bedside and side tables, and works just as beautifully on shelves and other surfaces, too.
