Very rare and beautiful table lamp in brutalist style with abstract decoration. By Mette and/or Niels Stiil Denmark 1970s. Stiil Stoneware was established in January 1972 at Tranum/Denmark by ceramists Mette Løkken Stiil and Niels Stiil. Their workshop was known for their unique stoneware work, including lamps and applied arts with a distinctive brutalist-inspired design. Many of their works are decorated with abstract ornaments and have a raw, handmade aesthetic that reflects the style of the time. There are also ceramics, especially lamps, with both the Stiil signature and the Axella stamp. The company Axella Stoneware ApS on Amalienborgvej in Nørresundby was owned by Aksel Larsen from 1970 to 1987. This is a very rare and beautiful lamp. It is 36 cm in height and 13 x 13 cm in length/width, and it weighs a whopping 2875 grams. A bulb is included in the purchase (Has a standard E26/E27 socket) This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution, European Plug (up to 250V).The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
