An incredible pair of original 1950s table lamps, the ultimate expression of Italian Mid-Century Modern design. This set is exceptionally rare as it was originally conceived as a mirrored pair (right and left): a design meticulously studied to offer perfect visual and functional symmetry on nightstands, consoles, or executive desks. The structure features an elegant curved solid brass arm with an authentic aged patina. The dome-shaped shades are made of enameled aluminum in the iconic and highly sought-after powder blue (duck egg blue) color. The shades feature characteristic perforations on the back which, when lit, project a charming constellation pattern onto the wall—a signature detail of elite productions attributable to Stilnovo or Arredoluce. Each lamp retains its original heavy internal cast-iron ballast, a hallmark of high-quality craftsmanship that guarantees stability and tactile premium quality.Electrical System and ConditionThe lamps have been carefully preserved in their original state. The wiring is coeval, featuring the original electrical system of the era with a brown two-pole cable. Both bases mount the original push-button switches, fully functional and seamlessly integrated into the design. The objects present an authentic patina on both the brass and the enamel, certifying their historical integrity. The interior of one shade shows a slight tonal shift due to the heat of historical light bulbs, a further guarantee of the paint's original authenticity. Bulb socket is E14 and LED use is recommended to preserve the original enamel.
