A sculptural Italian table lamp dating from the 1970s, attributed to Fratelli Mannelli, featuring a solid travertine base carved in a stepped cubic form. The stone displays characteristic natural pitting and warm tonal variation, lending the piece depth and texture while emphasising the material’s architectural quality. The lamp is fitted with a slender brass stem and original brass hardware, providing a refined contrast to the weight and earthiness of the travertine base. It is topped with a softly tapered fabric shade in a neutral tone, complementing the natural palette of the stone without distracting from the form. Remnants of a Fratelli Mannelli label are present to the underside, supporting the attribution. The overall design reflects the Italian postmodern and architectural lighting trends of the period, where natural materials and geometric forms were brought together in a sculptural yet functional manner.
