A lovely rustic handcrafted vintage lamp with a beautiful big brown leaf on one side that brings nature into the home. With the beautiful gold-colored lampshade it adds a warm cozy factor. Beautiful golden embroidered ribbons in gold color on the lampshade. The Axella ceramic workshop was started in the early 1970s by potter Aksel Larsen. The workshop was only active until 1987. The design is most likely Jette Hellerøe, who was designer and potter, for Axella, during most of their active years. Jette Hellerøe (born 1943) is a Danish ceramist and designer best known for her work with Axella Keramik and BR Keramik during the 1960s and 1970s. Hellerøe is known for her sculptural works, vases, reliefs and lamps, often with a characteristic Nordic and modernist expression. Her work combines brutalism and retro style, often with unique glazes and sgraffito patterns. Many of her works are still sought after today.
