Scandinavian mid-century table lamp, model 726, designed by Hans Bergström and produced by the Swedish manufacturer Ateljé Lyktan in the 1940s. Crafted in brass with a circular base and two stems joined by a decorative brass thread ornament. It features an integrated light switch on the base and a yellow textile cable. The original oval lampshade is included and remains upholstered in its original textile, “Honey”, designed by Josef Frank for Firma Svenskt Tenn — a highly regarded and collectible fabric that further enhances the lamp’s historical and decorative value. The manufacturer Ateljé Lyktan was founded in 1934 by Hans and Verna Bergström in the Swedish town of Helsingborg. Demand for their products quickly outgrew the small workshop, prompting a move to the town of Åhus. Over the following decades, Hans Bergström designed a wide range of high-quality lighting fixtures. Since they were often produced in small quantities, these pieces are now highly sought after by collectors.
