Furniture like the HE-116 has its origin in the Bauhaus workshops in Weimar, which were founded by Walter Gropius in 1919. The highest premise of Bauhaus design is the combination of Art & Crafts. To this day, the Bauhaus is considered the home of the avant-garde of classical modernism. The Swiss interior architect and designer Hans Eichenberger followed this straightforward, modern style throughout his artistic life. Eichenberger was one of the co-founders of Swiss design. The HE-116 tables also stem from this legacy. Straight-line legs made of tubular steel support a simple wooden top, the symbiosis of art and craftsmanshipsucceeds here par excellence. More in demand than ever, tubular steel furniture can now be artistically integrated into any atmosphere. It is the clear, simple but at the same time highly appealing design language which rightly gives the HE-116 a modern objectivity.Additional information:Material: WoodCategory: Light oakThickness 20 mmCharacteristics: Wood is a precious raw material, and we purchase it only from suppliers that have been selected according to strict criteria.
