Forest 90a

The 90A table designed by Alvar Aalto in 1943 is reintroduced by Formafantasma in an unprecedented variant with legs and top edge band in solid Wild Birch and a top in Wild Birch veneer with a core of solid birch, chipboard, and honeycomb.‎The Forest Collection is part of an ongoing collaboration between Artek and Formafantasma, an Italian design studio that investigates how environmental, political and social forces influence design today.‎ With the launch of the 'wild birch' variants of the Stool 60 and E60 originally launched in 2023 - they will be updated to become even wilder.‎ While the Stools currently only show natural marks on the legs, all Stool 60 and E60 in 'wild birch' will in future also feature insect marks and small knots on their upper surfaces, as well as a matt finish.‎ The update will apply to all 'wild birch' variants of the Stool 60 and E60 produced from 25 April 2024 onwards.‎
