A table made from only one material with contemporary linesthat convey strong personality.The distinctive traits of its architecture manifest fully in thistable to highlight stylistic elements that have alwaysdistinguished the works of Jean Nouvel: pure geometricshapes, formal lightness, graphic marks, and rigour.The simplicity of the shapes plays harmoniously on the contrastwith the solidity of the material: the table top appears thin andlight and seems to float above the base.The central support consists of two volumes that are tapered onthe upper part to create two symmetrical bases that support thetop. The effect recalls a trilithon, a structure formed from twovertical elements and a third positioned horizontally on top.Structure and surfacesThe bases and undertop flange are made of moulded highdensity rigid polyurethane joined together with a mechanicalfastener.Each base has a closing plate and internal anti-tilt weight inmoulded cast iron, epoxy powder coated in matt black, withspecific places for slides and felt pads.The 25 mm top in medium density fibreboard closes the table’s“monolithic” look, with a snap clip and hidden points forfastening to the flange below. The point in which the two partsjoin creates an elegant rebate, which is a very pleasanttechnical/aesthetic detail.Dimensions and typesEach table mounts bases of different sizes and types (seefollowing page): round model in the diameters 150 or180 cm, or oval model W200, W250 or 300, are also available.Table height, 74 cm.FinishesThe bases, undertop flange and top are alwaysmonochromatic, lacquered or faced with the application of3 mm slabs, in the variants:• matt lacquer in white, black and red;• glossy lacquer (polyester) in white, black, red, coral red,dune, blue navy and English green;• materials in the variants reconstructed stone Serena,reconstructed stone white Calce, black slate, yellow onyx,pink onyx, red brick and sage green.For more information on the characteristics of this material,please see “Tense Material Collection” in the tables section.
