Oval Table Su In Petrified Marbleplaster

As we value craftmanship and creativity more than everything we are always searching for timeless designs. Sometimes we also have a go at it ourselves and each time follow the same process. I make some sketches by hand and as doing this I talk it over with my master carpenter. The drawings are taken away and as he works I check up with him on a regular base showing him drawings, pictures, objects or sometimes introducing particular music.In this case the process resulted in this oval table. It was inspired by iconic designs as the tulip table. Although it is reminiscent to the 1960s and 1970s it is also very pure and logic, even corresponding to ancient furniture. We used a marbleplaster which petrifies and becomes water resistible with the same qualities as marble. We can custom make this in a wide variety of colors.
