The Oxyde table is directly inspired by Quartz crystals; found in watches and sometimes millions of years old, they are true witnesses of time.The aim of the project was to create a table that seems to have survived the ages. A timeless table: a fragment of time!The top is made of Roma Impérial quartzite, an exceptional stone appreciated for its warm colors and great strength. The edges have been meticulously broken and hand-brushed to achieve this rough, natural look. The velvet finish on the surface of the tray gives a soft feel but remains visually matt.The manufacture of the feet requires a real expertise. The faces are cut and assembled one by one, leaving no room for the slightest inaccuracy - a true work of goldsmithery carried out by a talented boilermaker.The feet were then meticulously oxidized, sanded and protected by hand. From this unique finish results a texture and color that blend perfectly with the veining of the top. As a result, the legs and the top appear to be one and the same.Our rigorous choice of materials, research into shapes, production processes and finishes have all contributed to make this table a collector’s item. Only twelve copies of Oxyde will be produced.
