The Fit Mirror is a sculptural mirror defined by the dialogue between stone and metal. Its base is composed of three carefully treated blocks of Travertine marble, supporting a mirror framed by a rusted iron backplate that has been preserved with natural oils to enhance its texture and longevity.Designed by Josep Vila Capdevila for Aparentment, the piece draws inspiration from the architecture and material culture of ancient Mediterranean civilizations. The composition balances permanence and imperfection, combining the porous character of travertine with the oxidized surface of iron to create an object that feels both timeless and contemporary.Fit Mirror embodies Aparentment's "Cold Mediterranean" philosophy: a restrained aesthetic rooted in the landscapes, light, and cultural heritage of the Mediterranean. More than a functional mirror, it is a collectible design object that explores the relationship between reflection, materiality, and architectural presence. Each piece is crafted and finished by hand, allowing the natural variations of the stone and the unique oxidation patterns of the metal to make every mirror one of a kind.
