1840s Mason's Ironstone Cream Jug

Early Mason's Ironstone octagonal jug with green crabstock handle. A "crabstock" handle was a fairly common feature in early English pottery, it imitates a crabapple tree branch with the side branches trimmed off. Bold ironstone colors in the 'Japan Basket' pattern. Maker's mark on underside, dating it to circa 1840s.
