19thc Creil & Montereau Plates, Pair

Add a little French frivolity to your decor with these comedic plates chronicling the mishaps of the poor protagonist -- the joke is on him! These pieces were discovered in an antique market in Provence and are numbers 2 & 3 of the Creil et Montereau "Rigolades" series. The mark indicates fabrication in the last quarter of the 19th C. Condition is excellent with minimal wear.
