A pair of 18th-Century English Delft plates. They are hand painted in cobalt blue and white with a chinoiserie landscape design. These faience plates include a scene with a house, trees, a lake, birds, fence and a lovely double geometric border. Matching charger available. They are painted in the Chinese style - at this time the Delft potters were imitating real Chinese export porcelain with wares like these. They are circa 1760, attributed to Lambeth, Abigail Griffiths, maker. A matching charger is also available. Condition: Very good, light fritting consistent with 200+ age and use.
