This antique silverplate chocolate pot was made for the French market and features excellent quality construction with classical proportions. The silver has been polished through in areas to reveal the warm copper beneath, similar to Sheffield plate, a result of years of use and careful polishing. The form is finished with a turned wooden handle and refined decorative mounts, reflecting 19th century European craftsmanship.
