Georges Pelletier (1938), Set of four plates, Black, gold and red enamelled ceramic with solar decoration,Signed on the back,circa 1970, France.Measure: Depth. 26,8 cm Georges Pelletier is a French ceramicist and artist born October 9, 1938 in Brussels. He began his training as a ceramicist at the age of twelve at the Pioulier school in Vence, founded by Célestin Freinet. This school teaches free and modern art for its time. This training allowed him from an early age to build a unique artistic identity.In 1961 he opened his first workshop in Paris, where he created his first unique pieces. He was spotted by Maison Bobois for his talent.This is why he became the supplier of the Bobois lighting collections from 1961 to 1973. He dedicated his workshop to creating lighting for this large house and for living rooms.In 1973, he decided to leave for the south, to Cannes, where he set up a new workshop where he was still active and continued to work.
