Iittala's Kastehelmi cake stand is part of Oiva Toikka's beloved Kastehelmi collection. This pedestal cake plate is perfect for serving all types of cakes, and it also serves as a striking serving tray for smaller treats, sweet or savory. In the 1960s, designer and artist Oiva Toikka set out to create a surface pattern that would conceal the joint marks in pressed glass. The result was Kastehelmi, Finnish for dewdrop, designed in 1964. Featuring delicate glass droplets arranged in a series of rings, Kastehelmi plays with light in the most beautiful way.
