Iittala's Kastehelmi serving plate is part of the beloved glass collection of the same name designed by Oiva Toikka. The glass plate also makes a lovely charger or even a large dinner plate. In the 1960s, designer and artist Oiva Toikka set out to create a surface pattern that would conceal the joint marks in pressed glass. The result was Kastehelmi, Finnish for dewdrop, designed in 1964. Featuring delicate glass droplets arranged in a series of rings, Kastehelmi plays with light in the most beautiful way. Its playful elegance suits any table setting, from morning to night and from casual to formal.
