The Kintsugi Soup Plate from Seletti borrows its name and concept from the Japanese practice of mending broken pottery with gold, applying that idea to a deep, rimmed plate. Designed by Marcantonio, the porcelain surface carries gold seams that trace irregular lines across the bowl, as if the piece had once been broken apart and put back together by hand. The effect looks less like a flaw and more like the defining detail of the whole design.
