This classic pattern commemorates Malmaison, the home of Napoleon's wife Josephine and one of the finest examples of French Neoclassical architecture and design. Produced in Limoges, France in its world-renowned factory dating from 1924. Five-piece place setting includes dinner plate, salad plate, bread/butter plate, teacup, and saucer. In 1924, Robert Haviland collaborated with Camille Parlon to form Robert Haviland and C. Parlon. Robert Haviland was from a family with a long history in the porcelain business and was able to maintain the quality that his family was known for. The company produces its fine porcelain in Limoges, a French town well known for this coveted material.
