The Moomin collector’s edition plates are based on Moomin mug illustrations no longer in production. This plate set contains the plates Office and Winternight. The yellow-hued Office decoration was first seen as early as 1996. Based on several Moomin comics, the illustration features several characters, like Moominpappa painting the wall and Snorkmaiden clacking away on the typewriter. The Winternight illustration, in turn, is based on the first-ever seasonal winter mug which was originally launched in 2006. In the illustration, Moomintroll sits on the railing of a small bridge on a clear winter night, in front of a full moon.
