Would you believe this is the work of an English porcelain factory that was set up in 1750, and given the right to be called "Royal" by Her Majesty Queen Victoria in 1890? The Royal Crown Derby Porcelain Company manufactures the highest quality English fine bone china and collectibles at its headquarters in Derby, England (the English Pottery district). Although the present factory was established in 1878, the original factory was set up nearby in Nottingham Road in 1750. Queen Victoria granted permission to include the title "Royal" in the company name in 1890.
