Selected by the owners of the Titanic over 100 years ago, this pattern looks as fresh today as it did back then, a testament to superb design. The pattern consists of a band of encrusted gold work with painted ornament of Chaplet and Festoons in the style of Louis XVI, delicately finished in tints of green. Made in England by Royal Crown Derby. The Royal Crown Derby Porcelain Company manufactures the highest quality English fine bone china and collectibles at its headquarters in Derby, England (the English Pottery district). Although the present factory was established in 1878, the original factory was set up nearby in Nottingham Road in 1750. Queen Victoria granted permission to include the title "Royal" in the company name in 1890.
