The trim is so fine that it tests the dexterity of even the most skilled painters, who must follow the shape of the Argent scalloped edge perfectly to enhance the raised floral and foliage designs on the knobs and handles… These delicate pieces pair elegantly with other designs in the Touraine line, featuring flowers, fruit and vegetable motifs. Raynaud was established in 1849 and is the only survivor of 11 porcelain factories existing in Limoges, France. After years of research, Raynaud discovered techniques to create infinite combinations of fade-resistant decorations that is still used by porcelain makers.
