Walden Platter Large
$240
Gracious Style
The Walden Platter brings together simplicity of form with substantial weight and brilliance. Instead of casting the glass, each piece is made by hand on the workshop floor. Its flat, broad dimensions and low side walls make it a challenge to craft, but the end result is worth it: the organic shape of this serving platter is simply lovely and ever so versatile. At Simon Pearce, fine glassware is still hand-blown in the traditional style. Simon Pearce opened his first glassblowing shop in 1971 in Kilkenny, Ireland. Ten years later, the factory was moved to Quechee, Vermont, where it remains today. The Ottauquechee River provides clean, hydroelectric power for the facility. All Simon Pearce items are proudly made in the U.S.A.
