Early 19th Century English Wool Tapestry, “The School Room” This is a beautiful naive piece, very nicely executed, it shows the trials of the Nanny, trying to teach and to keep charge of 3 children, not to mention the cats. The tapestry has been kept in a frame but we have taken it out to show the careful needle work on the back, it is mostly petit point with some alternative stitches The piece is absolutely original with little fading or wear, it is 19” square HW162
