An early 19th century rosewood fold over table. The top of the table slides over on an offset pivot which reveals a generous storage compartment beneath. Once folded over the generous top doubles the size of the surface displaying a truly beautifully colour and grain. Beneath a carved floriate and gently rolling scrolled frieze. The decorative tapering pedestal on a circular base finished on grand oversized lion paw feet accompanied with recessed brass castors. An exceptional piece of regency period furniture beautifully executed.
