As a result, the tonal depth in each figure, from the folds of the dress to the surface detail of the pottery, is built entirely from thread layering within the weave itself. The ivory ground gives the composition generous breathing room, allowing each figure to read as an individual study within the overall repeat. A cream piping border finishes the cover with a tone-matched edge that keeps the composition clean. The cover is finished with a same color piping border, hand-sewn at the corners.
