A pair of throw pillows made from 19th century French antiques materials. The red check top is made of linen homespun fabric from the Alsace area of France and dating from the first quarter of the 19th century. It should be pointed out that every thread of this fabric was spun by hand, dyed by hand and loomed by hand. The back of the pillow is made from a late 19th century French sheet and is probably a cotton/linen blend. It is filled with a removable down pillow insert. All of the fabric is in excellent condition.
